About me

For a long time I had this idea of creating my own blog to share my experience as a circuit designer with fellow engineers but it didn't quite happen until now.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Dipayan Pal and I am an electronic system design engineer by profession. I specialize in mixed signal and embedded systems. I am really passionate about electronics and like to design simulate and debug circuits. I really like the concept of open source hardware (OSH) community where you can share your ideas and circuits with the world and gain recognition and fame. The circuits that I will be sharing here are all open hardware stuff. So feel free to use them as well as modify them. And if you do come up with a better solution do post here.

The idea for creating this blog is to share my experience while I design circuits (for OSH community) and overcome various difficulty I encounter on a day to day basis.

I will try to post the detailed schematic as well as PCB layout here. For the software part I will be basing all my design (or at least most of it) on the Arduino MEGA or NANO boards. You will find more info on Arduino on Wikipedia.  The free software tools I will be using are :
  • EAGLE --- for PCB layout
  • LTspice --- analogue system SPICE based simulation package from Linear Technology.
  • Proteus ISIS --- for complete mixed system simulation
So with these lets get started.............................
